Name
Jeffrey Baird
Founder of Kngroo

Bio
After earning my International Baccalaureate diploma, I headed to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy to play football. As part of my cadet sailing period, I circumnavigated the globe and worked on cargo ships. I found room for innovation, but my suggestions were dismissed. As someone who could find new methods for everything from shoelace-tying to shipping methods, I decided to go out on my own.

I spend my free time reading, cooking, sailing, biking and studying economics. I am a caffeine addict, a sandwich expert and an amateur writer.

Mastered the controls for all of the internal ramp systems for the Ro/Ro within the first week. Halfway through my four month trip, the ship went through a crew change leaving me the only remaining member of the original deck crew. As a result I took charge of familiarizing the deck department, including the captain, with the day-to-day operations of the vessel. The new captain put me in charge of the ship's store, completing inventory, organizing the displays, charging the crew's accounts for their purchases and ordering new products.
